Does the extension upload audio?

No. Audio is analysed locally inside your browser.

Does it work on YouTube Music?

Yes.

Why does playback become slightly slower?

The current version changes playback speed to alter musical tuning. A future version will preserve tempo while changing pitch.

Why couldn't the analyser detect a tuning?

The analyser works best with sustained musical notes. Speech, percussion-only sections or heavily distorted audio may not provide enough tonal information.
