1. Overview
Wellness Nudge is a Chrome extension that provides configurable reminders for screen breaks, hydration, movement, exercise and balanced snacks.
This privacy policy explains what information the extension handles, why it is handled, where it is stored and how users can remove it.
2. Information handled
Wellness Nudge handles only the information required to provide its reminder and progress-tracking features. This may include:
- whether reminders are enabled or paused;
- enabled reminder types;
- reminder intervals;
- active weekdays and active hours;
- snooze duration;
- interactions made when a user selects Done or manually logs an activity; and
- daily completion counts for screen breaks, hydration, movement, exercise and healthy snacks.
The extension does not request or handle names, email addresses, account credentials, payment information, precise location, browsing history, website content, cookies, passwords, clipboard content or form entries.
3. How information is used
Reminder settings are used to schedule notifications according to the user's preferences. Completion interactions and counts are used to display the user's daily progress and toolbar badge.
This information is not used for advertising, profiling, analytics, marketing, lending, creditworthiness decisions or any unrelated purpose.
4. Local storage and retention
All reminder preferences and completion counts are stored using Chrome's local extension storage on the user's device.
The information is not sent to the developer, an external server, an analytics provider, an advertiser or another third party.
- Daily completion statistics are retained locally for up to 30 calendar days.
- Reminder preferences remain stored until the user changes them, clears the extension's data or uninstalls the extension.
5. Data collection, sale and sharing
Wellness Nudge does not collect information on the developer's servers because the extension does not transmit its locally stored information.
The extension does not sell, rent, disclose or transfer user information to advertisers, data brokers or other third parties.
It contains no advertising SDKs, analytics tools, tracking pixels or third-party data services.
6. Browser and website access
Wellness Nudge does not read or modify websites and does not request host permissions. It does not access:
- browsing history or open-tab content;
- website URLs or page content;
- cookies or authentication information;
- downloads or bookmarks;
- passwords, clipboard content or form entries.
7. Chrome permissions
Alarms
Used to schedule each enabled reminder within the selected active days and hours, and to schedule notifications that the user chooses to snooze.
Notifications
Used to display wellbeing reminders and provide Done and Snooze actions.
Storage
Used to save reminder preferences and locally recorded completion counts in chrome.storage.local.
8. Remote code and external services
Wellness Nudge does not download or execute remotely hosted code. All JavaScript, HTML, CSS and image resources required by the extension are included in the installed package.
The extension does not communicate with external APIs or third-party services.
9. Security
Keeping information in Chrome's local extension storage limits exposure because the data is not transmitted over the internet by Wellness Nudge. However, no device or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should protect their device and Chrome profile with appropriate operating-system and account security controls.
10. Data deletion
Users can remove locally stored Wellness Nudge information by uninstalling the extension or by clearing its extension data through Chrome, where supported by the installed Chrome version.
11. Children's privacy
Wellness Nudge is a general productivity and wellbeing reminder tool. It is not directed specifically at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Wellness Nudge provides general wellbeing reminders only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, nutritional treatment or emergency assistance. Users should seek qualified professional advice regarding medical conditions, dietary requirements, exercise limitations or other health concerns.
13. Chrome Web Store Limited Use
Use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Information handled by Wellness Nudge is used only to provide or improve the extension's disclosed reminder and local progress features.
14. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the extension's functionality, permissions or data practices change. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date shown at the top of this page.
